Gary's Story
one of my poems..(published in 95')
" I saw a child"
I saw a child the other day, as I was walking down the street
With ragged clothes, a dirty face, and no shoes on his feet
I've always wanted children, and as he passed me by
I couldn't help but notice, the twinkle in his eyes
He looked up at me and smiled. His eyes were deep dark blue
"Excuse me sir" I heard him say "May I go home with you"
A lonely old man...Expand for more
I've been called, but people never knew
just how bad I wanted a son, I could be a father too.
So I said "Yes little man, you can live with me"
and I picked him up and started home, just as proud as i could be.
That night as I layed sleeping, an angel came to say
God has chosen you to be, the one we take away
I couldn't help but feel, how sad my son would be
Then I heard the angel say, My son would go with me.
